Summer Gothic Lolita Contest

Well, folks it has been awhile since I've had a successful contest since people didn't submit except one person to the last Spring contest. I don't know why. Who wouldn't want to give a go at a subscription?

This contest is going to be basically a repeat of the last, because I really wanted to see some gothic lolita ideas. I am keeping the previous entry submitted in by *KCooL because I feel terribly about him going through the effort and the contest didn't happen.

Anyway, on to the details!

What exactly do you mean by "Gothic Lolita" style?

The Gothic Lolita fashion is a popular Japanese style consisting of elegant, sophisticated, gothicdress focusing especially upon that of Victorianesque clothing. Gothic Lolita fashion is perhaps such a hit due to its modest, lacey, and classic appeal, but can also be edgy, and sexy among other limitless things. Alas, it's an eccentric spectacle that one has to see for themselves.

What exactly is my entry supposed to consist of and be based on?

<sup>-The entries are to be of Gothic Lolita fashion, whether it be a style for summer specifically, Mana, etc. It doesn't have to be about Mana in particular, and can be your own GL fashion, and doesn't have to be a summer themed image necessarily. It's more of contest to demonstrate fan's own dress designs as well as their talent and adoration of it through their pieces.

What are the guidelines (what's allowed/and what's not allowed) for the entries?

-The entries are to be based upon artwork. This includes traditional mediums (watercolors, pencils, etc.), digital artwork (CG paintings, stock manipulations *remember to not use official photos or it will be removed by deviantart*, etc.), and cosplay GL photography.

-Of course, nothing obscene, or hentai-ish. Even if tasteful I'd kindly not want any nudity, yaoi, or yuri, and especially no porno, not that it would be expected . Sure, you can demonstrate sexuality if you want to through clothing...like making a bondage style, but keep it tasteful while being sexy if you choose so.

How do I submit my entry?

To submit you can either make a deviation and send ~macheri a note with the deviation link in it.

If you don't want to submit it on your account as a deviation or in your scraps, you can email =irot at redemptionv@hotmail.com with an ATTACHED file to your deviation and she will post it from there.


What are the prizes?

1st Place: 3 Month Subscription/Featured Deviation on Macheri & Journal and on Irot's Journal

2nd Place: 1 Month Subscription/Featured Deviation on Macheri's Journal and on Irot's Journal

3rd Place: Featured Deviation on Macheri's Journal and on Irot's Journal

NOTE: Please submit if you can, so it will be a competition rather then only 3 or 4 entries!

If there are only a few entries the due date will be extended. If there isn't atleast 6 after the extension, it will be cancelled. =irot spent 30+ dollars on the last contest, and point being subbies aren't cheap even when she's employed. No donations are ever asked for, only entries.
